We are seeking aGroup Administratorfor theAerospace & Thermal Engineering Group (A1H)within theAir & Missile Defense Sector (AMDS)to provide crucial administrative and operational support for a dynamic team of 45 engineers and scientists.
We're looking for a proactive admin who can respond quickly and capably to staff needs, helping to support a group where everyone can do their best work.
In this role, you'll be an important part of our team success, providing smooth, efficient group administration and handling substantial responsibility.

As Group Administrator, you will :
- Coordinate meetings, interviews, and group events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Assist with domestic and international travel arrangements for the team, and processing travel reimbursements efficiently.
- Handle purchase requests and reconcile expenses, playing a key role supporting the group's work.
- Serve as the main point of contact for lab support services, from office moves to mail and shipping requests.
- Support group security needs, helping us maintain operationally essential compliance
- Contribute to group morale by assisting with special events and celebrations.
- Help to organize and update group websites and technical document archives.

Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of office administration, or Bachelor's degree and business-related internship experience.
- Are highly organized with experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Are proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have outstanding interpersonal skills and enjoy helping to build a positive work environment.
- Possess a willingness to challenge the status quo and advocate for process changes.
- Have experience in safeguarding classified and / or sensitive personnel information.
- Are able to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance.
If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education / training and skill level with consideration for internal parity.
For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked.
APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and / or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
