Estimator

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team with a focus on commercial and general contraction construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, and able to complete comprehensive cost estimates without assistance from others.

This position is responsible for all aspects of projects from start to finish with the assistance of your estimating team.

Responsibilities :

• Review plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
• Knowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, knowledgeable about sitework, concrete, carpentry, openings, specialties, mechanical and electrical, in order to complete comprehensive cost estimates
• Utilize estimating software(s) such as Blue Beam, On-Screen, Planswift, Cost-OS, Sage Estimating
• Coordinate with project team members to develop project schedules and budgets
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Attend project meetings and provide input on cost and constructability
• Monitor project costs and ensure projects stay within budget
• Provide input on value engineering and cost-saving measures

Qualifications :

• Knowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, and sitework
• Understanding of general contracting self-performed trades such as concrete construction, carpentry, openings, specialties, etc.
• Experience with estimating software(s) such as Blue Beam, On-Screen, Planswift, Cost-OS, Sage Estimating
• 5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial construction estimating
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
