Early Childhood Education Health and Nutrition Manager

We are looking for a seasoned Health and Nutrition Manager to spearhead and coordinate comprehensive services for children and families in the Head Start and / or Early Head Start programs.
In this role, you will oversee essential areas including family development, health, nutrition, and community partnerships.
We seek a leader with a solid background in program management, staff training, and adherence to Head Start standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, implement and manage Head Start health and nutrition plans to comply with performance standards.
- Serve as a resource for staff and parents on health and nutrition services, including policy and procedure inquiries.
- Oversee menu formulation, food service operations, and sanitation standards.
- Develop and implement individual health and nutrition plans for children; collaborate with consultants.
- Plan and coordinate health and nutrition education programs and training for employees, children, and parents.
- Manage budgets, track expenditures, and process financial documents.
- Maintain accurate reports and records; handle special projects and administrative tasks.
- Provide technical expertise, assist in developing programs and policies, participate in meetings, conferences, and training to stay updated on relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in institutional food management, nutrition, dietetics, public health administration, or related field.
- Registered Dietitian certification (current).
- Two years of experience in institutional nutrition service menu planning and nutritional analysis.
- Food Safety Manager certificate (to be obtained within probationary period).
- Supervisory experience or experience in early childhood education is desirable.
- Obtain first aid and CPR card.
- Obtain a TB test (negative result) prior to beginning employment.
- Must meet all childcare staff requirements
- Be able to clear a State criminal background check.
- Produce a clean driving abstract.
