Position : Licensed Practical Nurse
Department : Nursing
Position Summary : Provide medications to residents while upholding service standards, philosophy and mission.
Shift : Full-time Management team

Position Responsibilities
- Administrator medication in a timely manner and per physician orders
- Reorder medication as needed to ensure that medication are available when needed
- Reports to medication aide relieving you
- Count narcotics at beginning and end of shift. Report any discrepancy to Administrator
- Transcribe physicians order to MARS when received and fax to pharmacy
- Record vital signs on MARS
- Stock medicine cart
- Follow medication management plan
- Communicate with facility pharmacy of supply needs
- Communicate any staff or resident issues with the administrator
- All other duties assigned
Team Effort :
- Assist in ensuring compliance with State and Local Regulations
- Appropriately interact with resident, family member, and other guest
Action :
- Respond to resident emergencies and act accordingly
- Communicate any resident concerns / issue to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils
Success :
- Contribute to resident satisfaction by ensuring that customer’s expectations are met or exceeded
- Maintain efficient and appropriate communication with residents, family members and guest
- Contribute to marketing efforts through appropriate interaction with prospective resident and guest

Job Duties Plans, organizes, and directs overall clinical operations to provide comprehensive care for residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines Develops and implements nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures to maintain quality care and compliance Ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts Oversee and evaluate nursing personnel Ensure compliance in all areas, including in documentation and resident care plans Qualifications At least two years of experience as a DON in a long-term care setting Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or in an eligible Nurse Compact State Demonstrated competencies in health care management and operations, quality management, staff development, resident and family support systems, and community outreach Possess empathy and passion for serving others Serve as a leader and a trusted resource to other healthcare team members Strong computer literacy and competency skills Up-to-date clinical compliance Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR via American Heart Association (AHA) Two-step TB test Physical exam within the last 12 months Benefits Weekly
