Position Overview :
Alkami is looking to add a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to our Technology organization. The TPM will be supporting our Platform Engineering teams including Extensibility, Mobile Platform and large strategic technology initiatives.
The TPM provides support for both strategic and operational activities across bridging these teams and the entire SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).
They will be responsible for key deliverables including engineering operational metrics, effective SDLC workflows and frameworks, program and project plans, roadmaps and various communication artifacts.
The ideal candidate has a deep technical background both in depth and breadth along with a keen business sense. You will guide teams through planning, designing and delivering large-scale services to our customers.
You excel at building and developing relationships with key stakeholders across product and technology teams. You naturally and consistently lean in on these to influence and impact without authority.

Key Responsibilities & Duties :
- Take ownership of, manage, and drive program execution, working and communicating with cross-functional development teams and stakeholders
- Work with product management to understand the business case including scope, strategies, the problem(s) we are needing to solve, business requirements and the costs / benefits
- Maintain program metrics, dashboards, and project statuses
- Work with the program team (and its various project team leads) to determine MVPs, milestones, and project schedule
- Drive the alignment for priorities and sequencing of work items against other work items within the program or other competing organizational priorities
- Manage the critical path of the program by identifying risks, devising and following through mitigation plans to ensure that the program / project stays on track, or is brought back on track in the event of delays or blockers
- Facilitate scrum events that serve as the connective tissue between Product and Technology groups, including scrum of scrums, pre-mortems, retros, etc.
- Create and maintain program artifacts such as project plans, communication plans, team agreements, decision logs, RACI matrices, roadmaps, etc.
- Ensure that teams are adhering to the SDLC processes in place, and collect feedback on process improvements. Support the implementation (or integration into the SDLC processes in place) of repeatable & predictable processes for initiation, tracking, governance, review and delivery of programs and projects
- Work with onshore and offshore development teams

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, business technology or other related areas and / or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in Technical Program Management with large, complex, software design, development, deployment and support initiatives with specialized experiences with extensibility, mobile platform or platform engineering teams
- Responsible self-starter with a sense of urgency balanced by attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical matters to a broader, diverse audience, written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to leverage program management competencies to achieve desired outcomes and create process efficiencies
- Ability to create focused ideas and practices within an evolving work structure
- Ability to understand and decipher complex technical information and simplify it to illustrate the relevant concepts, processes or data
- Ability to analyze patterns of information and generate valuable insights
- Experience of maintaining program management metrics and effectively using in program management delivery
- Solid experience in building schedules, gathering requirements, and maintaining program delivery and project plans
- Working knowledge or experience in implementing technical policies, process documents or workflows
- Fluent in Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM, XP, Lean & Kanban, etc.) methodologies
- Fluent in various project management tools (e.g., Smartsheets, etc), work management tools (e.g., Jira, etc) and concepts / tools in knowledge management
Desired Skills :
- Master’s degree in Technology or Business
- PMP or similar Program or Project Management Certification
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge
- Working knowledge of technology products and concepts : API, SDK, CI / CD, DevOps, Secure SDLC, mobile platform tooling and frameworks
- AWS stack and associated common tooling choices : Kubernetes, Grafana / Prometheus, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Gitlab, Cortex
- Proficiency in programming language concepts and general industry advancements languages and platforms
