Description : JOB PURPOSE :
JOB PURPOSE :
Information Services leader responsible for the development and management of key EHR (Epic) programs that ensure optimization and value of the system.
Programs include but are not limited to Epic Honor Roll, Gold Stars, Staying Current, Good Install, EHR Surveying and Business Continuity Access.
Collaborates with health informatics, application teams, technical services, IS project management, clinicians, operations, and others across the health system to ensure continuous improvement and system best practices.
Conducts current state assessments and strategically evaluates programs and processes to ensure ongoing alignment with Piedmont Healthcares purpose statement, vision and strategic framework, as well as Information Services goals and objectives.
Develops and executes communications plans and is an influential leader and communicator across teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Lead and manage EHR programs within the healthcare organization from initiation through completion, ensuring program and project deliverables are met on time.
2. Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and resources in collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
3. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including executives, IT leaders and staff, operators, clinicians and other team members to ensure program goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
4. Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for EHR optimization and implementation of cutting-edge features that aligns with various EHR program requirements and drive improvements in overall clinician EHR satisfaction scores.
5. Develop KPIs and metric tracking to define and ensure program success.
6. Report on program progress, performance, and risks to key stakeholders, adjusting as needed to keep programs on track.
7. Identify, secure and manage program resources, to ensure efficient and effective execution.
8. Ensure successful implementation and adoption of new features and functionality that drive clinical quality, provider efficiency, financial performance and patient satisfaction.
9. Ensure business continuity access to critical patient / clinical information during system downtimes.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance capabilities within the organization.
11. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in healthcare IT to inform program planning and decision-making.
Attend EHR and other industry conferences and share Piedmont successes where applicable.
12. Other duties and program responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Excellent project management, analytic and process improvement skillsets
Knowledge and experience with various project management and development methodologies such as Agile
Strong understanding of EHR (Epic) technology and capabilities
Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, regulations, and industry standards
Excellent written / verbal communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Effectively lead large group efforts involving people from multiple teams.
Excellent computer literacy and skilled in Microsoft Office application suite, analytic and data visualization tools such as excel and Tableau, project management tools, and agile software such as Jira

Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED :
Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, computer science, information systems, technology, nursing / clinical healthcare or a closely related field is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in program or project management, strategic planning, health IT systems, application build and support, or a closely related field is required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Masters Degree is preferred.
Certification in Epic Application(s) is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Clinical degree is a plus.
Lean / Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Agile / Scrum Master certification or prior experience is a plus.
