Responsibilities
The Tax Manager will :
- Review business and individual income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and other deliverables
- Serve as a primary service contact in conjunction with the partner-in-charge
- Act as a liaison between clients and government tax authorities to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies
- Oversee a team of other tax professionals in administering services within the practice area
- Stay current on changes in relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings
- Participate in Firm recruiting efforts and in initiatives to increase retention
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of Tax experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, and / or a related field
- Experience relevant to closely held business and their individual owners
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills :
- CPA license and / or EA certification
