We are currently seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and drive our manufacturing processes across all product lines.
This role will focus on optimizing production efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring seamless collaboration between our R&D, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership :
Manage and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, ensuring alignment with production goals and objectives. Set project priorities and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Lean Manufacturing & Process Improvement :
Champion and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Lead process improvement teams, focusing on optimizing existing production lines and redesigning for manufacturability.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
Work closely with production, purchasing, materials management, and quality control to resolve production floor issues, maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement.
R&D Partnership :
Collaborate with R&D Engineers on Design Transfer activities, ensuring smooth transitions for products entering production.
Serve as a bridge between Operations and Design Engineering to stay updated on new projects and changes to current product lines.
Process Validation & Compliance :
Review process designs, documents, tooling, and validation reports for compliance with requirements. Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Supplier & Quality Management :
Interface with suppliers regarding outsourced parts and assemblies, addressing quality and delivery issues as needed. Participate in the MRB (Material Review Board) process for component quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement & Education :
Empower the engineering team to develop processes that prioritize efficiency and quality. Lead initiatives to educate and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Audit & QA Support :
Assist with Quality Assurance (QA) during audits and manage the team’s corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely resolution.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Proven ability to focus on cost-saving initiatives in both manufacturing and transactional processes.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD / AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Mastercam is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
A Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business is preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on manufacturing or operations engineering.
At least 5 years of experience managing or supervising manufacturing engineers or production personnel.
Prior experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing projects and launching new products (NPI).
Background in value engineering, quality, and process improvement programs.
