The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Chief Engineer to work in our Chantilly, Virginia office.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the RODIO mission. In this mission we deliver quick reaction capabilities needed from our DoD / IC / Other customers, to integrate into our customer's national technical means environment.

The RODIO Chief Engineer leads a group of solution architects from within Leidos and with our RODIO team mates to deliver cutting edge, innovative solutions that meet DOD / IC / Other requirements and seamlessly integrate into our customer's environment.

Additionally, the Chief Engineer works with the Leidos Chief Technology Office (CTO) to identify internal company resources that align with RODIO task orders to make full use of Leidos corporate capabilities.

The Chief Engineer leads a team of RODIO Solution Architects to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customer.

Primary Responsibilities

The RODIO Chief Engineer conducts technical oversight for RODIO task orders and may act as a RODIO Task Order Solution Architect until a suitable candidate is found.

Participate in task order technical reviews, recommend changes or innovations for technical efforts and lead technology forums, internally and with the customer from time to time.

Prepare, and deliver technical solution briefings to the Leidos CTO organization and other Leidos groups to identify corporate technical support requirements, showcase innovations, and lead technical seminars related to RODIO or other ISD programs.

Mentor less experienced RODIO solution architects in technical solution design for RODIO Task Orders and other ISD proposal responses.

Work with RODIO and other ISD program managers and CTO to identify division technical gaps and requirements needed to deliver innovative technical solutions for future proposals.

Evaluate subcontractor RODIO Task Order technical performance and provide feedback as part of the Leidos subcontractor evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors' Degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters' with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience .

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS / SCI Clearance with Polygraph

Microsoft tool suite to create and present briefings, to include : MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS SharePoint and Power Bi.

5 - 10 years' experience developing technical solutions for US Government organizations to include DoD TENCAP programs, multiple IC Organizations, and US Government Civil organizations.

Technology strategy development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent understanding of US IC structures and program offices as well as technical decision and integration processes.

Capable of integrating quickly into large corporate technology structures and learn business processes.

Capable of managing and mentoring less experienced personnel to foster a process of team solution development.

Pay Range : Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
