This position is part of the Incoming Inspection team and will be located in Fremont, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to :
- Perform visual and dimensional / mechanical inspection on injection molded plastics, machined parts, sheet metal, cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, packaging materials or finished products according to established acceptance criteria that is defined in material specifications, engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Conduct a thorough documentation review, ensuring that all recorded information is complete and meets the requirements of Good Documentation Practices.
- Communicate issues verbally and in writing to responsible engineers and suppliers.
The essential requirements of the job include :
- High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 1 to 2 years of experience in a Quality Control Inspection role
- Experience with hardware materials with ability to problem solve and implement incoming inspection improvements.
Travel & Physical / Environment Requirements :
- Ability to travel approximately 5% travel to Lodi, Newark, and Sunnyvale, CA.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to use magnifiers, microscopes, and have adequate vision to perform tasks (vision correction devices are permitted).

The hourly range for this role is $25 - $33. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
