Sentara is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for Sentara Princess Anne Hospital!

Status : Part Time (16 hrs / week)
Hours : 630-2300
Shift : Rotating 8.5 hour shifts
Weekend : Every Other Weekend
Holiday Rotation
Required qualifications :
- Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - required if licensed in VA after 7 / 1 / 2021
Preferred qualifications :
- 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Prior hospital experience preferred
Job responsibilities :
- Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
- Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
- Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Job Summary

Registered with the VA State Board of Pharmacy. NC Pharmacy Technicians do not require state registration.
