Occupational Therapist

$34.31 - $51.46 an hour - Half Time, Days. 20 hours a week. +$2.50 / hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist who assumes responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients with disorders affecting daily living skills, sensory-motor functions and cognitive / perceptual functions.

Qualifications
- Current registration as an OT with the State of Colorado
- BLS certification required by the end of conditional period
- Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment with an interdisciplinary team is preferred.
- New Grads considered, must have had a Level 2 Rotation in Acute Care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluative skills : selects appropriate tests and measures to determine goals and problems, course of treatment and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Assessment skills : identifies problem list / assessment results, evaluates patient response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated.
- Planning skills : formulates and maintains an individualized treatment plan based on functional long and short-term goals.
- Implementation skills : provides treatment using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Promotes effective communication and teamwork.
- Reports and documents evaluations, plans, treatment techniques, assessment and patient progress.
- Initiates and is responsible for problem solving and decision-making regarding patient care.
- Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system. Identifies patient / family goals and incorporates this feedback into the overall plan of care.
- Transfers patients from wheelchair, bed, mat, commode etc.
- Transports patients to / from their room to the therapy room.
