Overview :

Our company is seeking CNC Machinists for both our day and swing shifts. The ability to set up and operate a variety of horizontal and vertical multi-axis CNC mills and / or lathes.

We are a job shop that produces a large number of one-offs and prototype parts. Among the industries in which we work are aerospace, heavy equipment, energy production, naval vessels, tooling, and others.

It is our team's responsibility to get the job done right for the customer by working collaboratively and creatively.

Job Type : Direct Hire

Pay : $28.00 - $42.00 p / h (DOE)

On-Site : Seattle, 98108

Shift : Day : 5 x8 Monday to Friday

Swing : 4 X 10 Monday to Thursday

Responsibilities :

Set up and run prototype and one-off components on a variety of CNC machinery including lathes, mills, mill-turn.

Optimize prepared programs at the machine for speeds and feeds.

Work with a variety of materials from steel, aluminum to exotics like inconel and titanium.

Read blueprints and part sheets to determine proper approach to creating precision parts.

Bring ideas to the table to increase efficiency and lower downtime and scrap.

Qualifications :

Bring 5 years minimum prior related experience in a job shop or similar prototype and R&D environment.

Have knowledge of and experience with using G & M codes

Be well versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerance.

Have a very strong grasp of and in the use of measuring and inspection equipment.

Be a team player able to work well with little or no supervision, or within a team as needed.
