Job Description

We are searching for a commissioned sales professional to fill a full-time position in our Chicagoland IL office, as well as full-time remote.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned freight broker to join an asset-based service-oriented logistics organization. The perfect individual for this position is seeking both sales and operations responsibilities.

They should be a strong operator with carrier management and negotiation skills but also highly motivated with proven sales skills with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management and clients.

Self-managed and motivated.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 year(s) experience in Freight Brokerage / customer service
  • An ACTIVE book of business is required
  • Self-motivation and excellent communication skills
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Securing new accounts, expediting the information-sharing process, and communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and clients
  • Cradle to Grave - Negotiate rates on a load-by-load basis to help maximize organizational profits and manage the process beginning to end
