About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Specialty : Therapy Job Duration : 8 weeks Shift : 08 : 00-16 : 30 Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum of 1 year preferred License : Required Certifications : CPR from the American Heart Association Must-Have : Experience in therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, gait training, kinesiotaping, aquaciser, neuromuscular reeducation, and other PT / PTA procedures Job Description : - Scheduled in accordance with facility policy and expected to work weekends if needed.
- Work in both outpatient therapy and acute care settings. - Handle patient ratios of one patient per hour in outpatient therapy and a caseload of 10-14 patients in acute care.
- Utilize equipment such as ARJO lifting equipment, Aquaciser, UE bike, fine motor coordination activities, strengthening equipment, and cardio equipment.
- Document using Redoc for outpatient and Meditech for acute care. - Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday coverage.
If scheduled on a Saturday, time off will be provided during the week for balance. - Prefer candidates with outpatient therapy and acute care experience.
- Must wear teal scrubs or a teal collared shirt with khaki, black, or gray pants. - Participate in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to outstanding communication and collaboration.
- Engage in ongoing training with Patient Care Technician employees focusing on transfer training and the use of gait belts.
- Join a friendly, supportive team environment with over 35 years of combined experience. - Be part of a patient and employee-centered team with excellent interdisciplinary communication.
