Senior Accountant

Minimum Qualifications :

• 2-4 years of related experience in accounting roles.
• Transactional level experience with some balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry preparation experience required.
• Experience in MS Excel plus ability to learn Sage Intacct.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving experience and initiative required.
• Non-profit accounting experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a mission-driven environment.
• COVID-19 Vaccination and yearly influenza vaccination required.

• Communication / Interpersonal Skills : Must exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to respond to difficult situations.
• Compliance / Ethical Practice : Demonstrates a commitment to the PPAU mission and philosophy. Adheres to PPAU’s policies and is committed to act legally and ethically within the scope of work.

Must exhibit knowledge and experience with employment law.

• Critical Evaluation : Ability to solve and analyze problems effectively and efficiently.
• Cultural Awareness : Demonstrates ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Shows leadership and conflict resolution skills among people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
• Organization : Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Technology / Tools : Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Accounting and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Time Management : Ability to multitask and work efficiently within time constraints.
