Quality Technician :

Job Purpose : To define daily QA tasks, as well as ensuring all raw and finished products meet product specifications.

Essential Functions :

  • Ensure a clean and sanitary operational room for the processing of fruit and vegetables in accordance with company and government standards.
  • Ensure that product in the containers matches the label on the container, date codes, and outgoing packaging / Barcode is correct.
  • Ensure the processing room is ready for production thirty minutes prior to the beginning of the day.
  • Place barrels containing chilled water with Peracetic Acid.
  • Add chemicals to the main flume system, potato line, Apple line, and fruit tanks and Prep Barrels as needed.
  • Validate metal detection machines at the start of the shift and throughout production.
  • Fill hand and knife dip stations with sanitizer and verify chemical strength.
  • Ensure all products are run through metal detection machines at every product change; metal detector validation and verification must be completed and documented.
  • Ensure all items are run according to the product sequence chart.
  • Check all incoming raw products prior to processing to ensure they meet approved specifications, and complete the check-off sheet.
  • Check all chemical stations with every change of product and complete the check-off sheet.

Prerequisites for Position :

  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
