Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, a part of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.
Position Summary :
The Procurement Manager manages the sourcing capabilities and supply chain for the organization, ensuring the business has the necessary supplies on time to meet customer and production needs.
Effectively manages team performance ensuring the department is meeting organizational goals.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintains and practices the safety culture, putting safety first.
- Is a champion for 6S in the warehouse and with team.
- Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials used in the business.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Evaluate and select vendors, products, and services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand supply needs.
- Oversee the procurement process from start to finish.
- Negotiate contracts and acquire cost-efficient pricing without compromising quality.
- Evaluate spending operations to enhance product quality and delivery timeliness.
- Develop procedures to mitigate losses in case of product shortages.
- Collaborate with division procurement and legal departments to ensure favorable contract terms.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies and requirements.
- Ability to effectively train others to create a cross-functional team.
- Manage and document employee performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience :
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- 8-10 years+ of Purchasing experience.
- Prior experience of people leadership required.
- Minimum 5 years of aerospace experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- ERP Systems experience required; Syteline ERP experience a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite w / advanced Excel skills.
Level of Education & Qualifications :
- 4-year College Degree or equivalent experience.
- ISM membership and / or certification a plus.
