Immediate Opening : Diesel Mechanic at LeMay Pierce County Refuse
We have an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team working on our fleet of garbage trucks at LeMay Pierce County Refuse in Frederickson, WA, a Waste Connections Company.

Pay and Schedule :
Hourly pay : $35.00 - $36.00 plus a $1.50 / hr shift differential
Shift : Monday - Friday, 2 : 30 PM - 11 PM
$5,000 Stay-On Bonus
Key Responsibilities :
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Use vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment. (Welding experience is a plus.)
Complete necessary paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
Review and address repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Perform additional maintenance-related work as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, following corporate and OSHA standards.
Adhere to established safety procedures in all tasks.
Effectively communicate repair needs and tasks.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications :
At least one year of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of an accredited vocational-technical school program (preferred).
CDL preferred (ideally obtained within the first 90 days of employment).
Personal tools are required.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.
Ability to read and understand service and technical information.
