DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Implements student personnel policies and coordinates activities with the policies of the Board of Education in regards to attendance, discipline, and achievement.
- Interviews students, parents, and staff to take necessary action in cases of truancy, delinquency, course failure, and / or discipline concerns.
- Monitors student achievement data and institutes and / or implements adjustments in curriculum / instructional delivery.
- Completes documentation and reports as needed to fulfill Federal, State, and District mandates in a timely manner.
- Assumes responsibility for functions of building principal in his / her absence.
QUALIFICATIONS : Master’s degree and Type 75 Certificate, experience in public school administration, proven record of providing equity in a public agency or school leadership, management and leadership skills are adaptable to public relations, human relations, equity principles and planning capability.

- Basic knowledge of computers and current technology is needed
WORKING CONDITIONS : Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
