What you will do :
The District RBT is a paraprofessional who is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA.
The District RBT is responsible for traveling to 2-3 Pediatrics Plus locations with the need for RBT treatment session coverage due to site needs.
The District RBT only follows intervention or assessment plans created by the supervising BCBA. The Associate Developer of ABA, Therapy Director, or site BCBA determines and assigns tasks for the District RBT to perform as a function of his / her training, experience, and competency levels.
- The District RBT works directly under the supervision of the Associate Developer of ABA and each BCBA at the site where treatment is conducted.
- Participate in the implementation of the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP), created by the BCBA, to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
- Participate in implementation of daily data collection along with reporting pertinent data to the supervising BCBA at the site of treatment.
- Assist in observational assessments with BCBA, such as, ABC data log, probing for new targets, and conducting preference assessments as needed.
- Prepare for all sessions as outlined by the skill acquisition program including gathering stimuli and materials needed.
- Implement appropriate teaching procedures determined by supervising BCBA.
- Implement Behavior Support Plans as created by the client’s supervising BCBA.
- Follow policies related to storage of all documentation, data collection, graphs, etc. in designated area in compliance with HIPAA.
- Maintain visual supervision of the child at all times. NEVER leaves a child unattended.
- Must be available to frequently check company provided messaging system to stay up to date on site assignment changes.
- Speak in a well-modulated, pleasant, and caring voice to children, parent(s), and staff.
- Represent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
- Maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment by ensuring that children are kept clean and toys and other materials are disinfected each day.
- Display concern for the rights of children and families served by the clinic.
- Ensure confidentiality of children and employee Responds to internal and external requests for information according to clinic policy.
- Work closely with his / her supervisor(s) to develop a high level of behavior-analytic expertise. This should include in-depth discussions and understanding of issues affecting practice, acceptance of performance feedback and willingness to adjust as necessary.
- Complete development tasks as assigned during times when billable services are unavailable.
- Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
- May perform other related and non-related duties as assigned.

What you have :
- Abide by the RBT Ethics Code as outlined by the BACB.
- Possess understanding / knowledge of RBT Handbook Supplement.
- Maintain RBT certification by completing RBT credentialing paperwork including payment and uploading to BACB with no lapses in certification.
- Receive ongoing supervision to comply with BACB’s supervision requirements.
- Ability and willingness to be adaptable, flexible, and have excellent problem-solving skills as needed for treating a variety of unfamiliar clients at unfamiliar locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Travel is required (willingness and ability to travel to minimum of two Pediatrics Plus locations).
Minimum Requirements :
- High School Diploma / GED
- RBT credential is active and in good standing with the BACB
- Minimum one year experience as RBT, highly preferred.
Annual Requirements :
- Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBA
- Complete annual renewal through BACB
- Receive ongoing supervision and comply with BACB’s ethics requirements
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.
The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel.
The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
