The Material Handler manages all raw material needs of the Fabrication Department.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and track all inventory levels of raw materials in E2 software.
- Order material needed to meet job requirements.
- Issue materials needed for work orders.
- Track Red Tags that are sent to Fabrication and determine the reason and advise for correction.
- Enter purchase orders and print travelers when needed.
- Send reports of current raw material activities as required.
Required Skills :
- Ability to distinguish material types and gauges.
- Drive forklift to move material and stage orders.
- Unload trucks of large heavy loads in a safe manner.
- Learn and understand software needed to meet job requirements.
Desired Skills :
- Being open to and actively soliciting new ideas and opinions.
- Current driver’s license and the ability to drive truck to pick up metals when needed.
- Operate basic hand tools and some machinery when required. Travel :
