An exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team providing top-quality care to patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery.
This specialty unit requires attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs looking to expand their skill set.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain professional nursing standards
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, and ability to apply them in patient care quality improvement
