Responsibilities : Assess donor eligibility, ensuring compliance with informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews, acceptance criteria, performing physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
Evaluate donor reactions per facility SOPs. Adhere to SOPs for medical emergencies, including implementing Center Physician's directives and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
Seek guidance from the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding communication of unacceptable findings to donors, and for medical or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility.
Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as required.Manage employee incidents, determining the need for further evaluation by occupational health / ER.
Follow EHS protocols for handling employee incidents.Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, assisting in investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community as directed by EHS or Medical Affairs.
