We are looking for a full-time Medical Assistant with the ability to multitask and able to handle a fast paced, but fun work environment.
This position will require travel to our surrounding locations in Des Plaines and Wauconda on a as needed basis.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Recording medical history and vitals
- Rooming patients
- Assisting physicians with minor in-office medical procedures
- Scheduling testing procedures such as MRI's
- Scheduling patients with other physician offices
- Pre-certifications
- Clean and maintain instruments
- Cleaning treatment rooms
- Communicating patient needs with physicians
- Assisting physician with charting
- Trimming toenails
- Returning patient phone calls
- Some receptionist duties such as answering phones and making patient appointments
- Surgery scheduling
- Administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience (preferred)
- Motivated and extremely positive attitude
- Excellent communicator
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations
- Willing and Able to travel to surrounding locations as needed Benefits :
