Job Summary :
As an RF Engineer II, your responsibilities would include designing and optimizing radio frequency (RF) circuits and systems, conducting simulations, and testing prototypes.
You'd collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze performance metrics, and contribute to the development of wireless communication products.
Strong knowledge of RF principles, circuit design, and experience with tools like MATLAB, ADS, or similar software would be essential.
Additionally, you might be involved in troubleshooting and providing technical support.
Core Responsibilities of the RF Engineer II :
Advanced Systems Analysis : Perform comprehensive systems analysis, modeling, and simulation of circuit or system performance, employing advanced analytical tools.
This includes cascade analysis for up / down converters.
Innovative Design and Analysis : the detailed analysis and design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware components, including but not limited to digital receiver subsystems and exciters.
This involves mastery over various components such as front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers, and A / D and D / A conversion processes.
- Filter Design : Engage in sophisticated filter modeling, analysis, and design.
- System Integration : Direct the system integration, testing, and development of RF / millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight applications, exploring new communications technologies for spaceflight.
- Collaborative Team Efforts : Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet all customer and internal requirements, serving as the primary technical interface for customers, participating in technical meetings, and aiding in the development of customer specification.
The RF Engineer II will have the below skills / qualifications :
- A minimum of 4 years in microwave / millimeter-wave design theory and component design, with substantial experience in delivering high reliability hardware from conceptual design to flight delivery.
- Experience with microwave modeling tools such as Genesys, ADS, AWR, Ansoft HFSS, Designer, Maxwell, Matlab, and AutoCAD is crucial.
- Knowledge : Understanding of complex communication systems theory, RF architecture, IMAs and circuit design.
- Knowledge in RF and mixed-signal design techniques and technologies.
- Skills : Outstanding documentation, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to work effectively in a team environment are a must.
- Education : Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
