Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to gather deep understanding of business problems and develop predictive models to predict outcomes.
Leverage the model development process to identify critical drivers of predicted outcomes (variable importance) and guide business to take action on these insights.
Partnering with business SMEs in the process to enrich model insights and improve model performance.
- Data mine various data systems, clean and structure data to optimize model performance and identify areas for data quality improvements in enterprise data environment.
- Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to put models and insights into production.
- Develop causal inference / explanatory path models to help business understand drivers of key outcomes.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding of models and implement business process change to improve outcomes based on model output.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- PhD desired
- Master's at least required in statistics, data science, economics, psychology (research / experimental) or other heavy quant focused social or other science (biometrics).
- Need deep knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning, data mining, feature engineering.
- Requires strong skills in SQL and Python or R.
- Excellent communicator / consultative approach, PowerPoint and presentation skills required.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Richmond, VA this ranges from $156,000.00 - $214,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Providence, RI and Glastonbury, CT this ranges from $164,000.00 - $225,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Arlington, VA and Boston, MA this ranges from $182,000.00 - $ 250,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
