Summary :
This Manager, Clinical Specialists role is responsible for supporting the attainment of annual regional sales goals through the direct management of the Clinical Specialists in assigned region.
This role is responsible for the coaching and development of the Clinical Specialists to ensure that they are able to support Territory Managers in closing business and to own ongoing customer relationships.
The Manager, Clinical Specialists partners with Regional Sales Managers to set successful transition strategy of customer relationships from Sales to the Specialist Team after deal closure.
The ideal candidate would reside in one of the following locations : St. Louis, Omaha, Birmingham, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Forth Worth or New Orleans.
Essential Job Functions :
- Support the attainment of annual regional sales goals
- Coach and enable Clinical Specialists to support the attainment of annual sales goals in their assigned territory through the development of clinical acumen, business skills, sales technique, product knowledge, and market development
- Manage and monitor communication and effectiveness of Clinical Specialist Team when interacting and collaborating with regional sales team and partner sales channels
- Partner with Regional Sales Manager in assigned region to address any escalated customer concerns and ensure seamless handoff of customer relationship from Territory Managers to Clinical Specialists after deal closure
- Recruit and hire high quality Clinical Specialists with appropriate experience and skills to support the attainment of annual sales goals and understand and solve for customer clinical needs in assigned territory
- Collect competitive information across market segments, competitors, sales channels, and assigned geographies
- Collect, save, and disseminate competitive information to clinical, sales, and marketing teams to use in the creation of materials / presentations and negotiation of deals
- Review and provide input into marketing and sales tools, product training presentations, feedback into marketing planning, etc.
- Report all product, marketplace, or staff-related matters of concern to Director, Clinical Specialists
- Assist Clinical Specialists, when needed, in establishing and nurturing strategic customers within assigned region
Knowledge and Experience :
- Minimum 5 years related work experience.
- RDMS in Abdomen & Ob / Gyn.
- RDCS or RDCS eligible, RVT or RVT eligible preferred.
- Minimum 5 years commercial applications experience.
- Prior Management experience.
- Proven experience to effectively and appropriately display professional skills necessary to manage interpersonal relationships with team members, colleagues and customers knows and follows appropriate lines of escalation;
knows when and to whom issues should be raised; knows which issues should
- be addressed publicly and which issues should be addressed in private; etc.
- Proven ability to effectively manage daily tasks.
- Extensive clinical knowledge across all ultrasound specialties including echocardiography.
Skills and Abilities :
- Excellent project management and planning skills.
- Able to simultaneously work numerous programs / projects.
- Proven ability to communicate and work well with individuals at various levels across an organization and across geographies.
- Excellent communication skills in English, one or more additional languages spoken preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills to constructively foster relationships internally and externally.
- Must be competent in ultrasound scanning of abdomen, OB, vascular, and cardiac.
- Must demonstrate drive, focus, creativity, innovation and resourcefulness.
- Excellent time management and project prioritization skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor direct reports to help them achieve their goals and develop professionally.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision in an environment that requires strong teamwork and cross-functional interaction.
- Able to travel 50% or more of the time.
- Willingness to work occasionally during weekends, holidays and during unsociable hours (early or late hours).
- Able to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
Salary and Benefits :
- $100,000 - 115,000 + variable bonus opportunity
