JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Coordinator reports to the Director of Finance and will primarily work with multiple programs within the organization to ensure that everyone has the information they need to do their job effectively.
This may include assistance with accounts payable, general ledger, annual audits, and other financial reporting processes with the assistance of the Finance Manager interacting with accounting, etc.
Essential Functions
Assist with accounts payable and receivables, issuing invoices, resolving account discrepancies, assisting with bank reconciliations, and audits, as well as performing bookkeeping functions and other administrative tasks as needed.
Assists in month-end accounting close functions to include journal entries and account reconciliations
Scan payable invoices received and send them to the appropriate person for approval; enter approved payable invoices into NetSuite, upload the backup
Provide invoice support to program managers and reconciliation to Net Suite reports
Obtain W-9’s from vendors
Enter new vendors into the Net Suite system
Run reports from the postage machine, and copiers, enter spreadsheet, and create invoice payments in NetSuite
Assist with billing of accounts receivable
Track MasterCard receipts and create payment invoices in NetSuite
Run monthly Budget vs Actual reports for program managers
Assist with year-end closing tasks, audit tasks, annual budget process, taxes, and 1099 filing
Assist in processing vendor and employee payments
Maintain vendor contact information as necessary and assist the Finance Manager and DOF with other tasks as required
Administrative Duties :
Coordinate office supply orders and tracking
Attending staff, program, and community meetings as required
Schedule and assist with meetings as required
Process incoming mail and make deposits regularly
Other duties as assigned

Analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles
Ability to work with staff at all levels in the organization
Mature, responsible, and trustworthy
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications

1-2 years of accounting and AP / AR, payables experience
Working knowledge of computers and software programs MS Office -Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be highly organized
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software
Experience assisting with budgets
Experience assisting with financial audits
Experience in nonprofit accounting
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Valid Driver’s License required or the ability to be present to meet at various locations, and times as required
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing
Work Environment
Hybrid office location in downtown Denver and employees’ home or remote Colorado location
