Job Description :
Conduct advanced experiments and publish the results in prestigious conferences, journals, or standard bodies : To demonstrate the advantages of NeoPhotonics’ advanced optical and electronic components- including tunable laser, silicon photonic transceivers, coherent driver module (CDM), coherent receiver, driver, TIA, etc.
in an end-to-end coherent system. Publications are expected in prestigious conferences (, OFC, ECOC, etc.), journals (, PTL, Optics Express, etc.
and standard bodies (, OIF, IEEE, large MSA, etc.).
Define component Specs : By interacting with product engineers, narrow down the key component specs such as bandwidth, extinction ratio, THD, IRN, etc.
by either experiments or simulations.
- Support new component performance test : Verify new component performance in an end-to-end system experiment, and give guidance to the development engineers regarding how to improve the new component performance.
- Support Product Application Engineers in interacting with customers.
- Support international standard activities.
Requirements and Experiences :
- degree in optics, electrical engineering, physics or equivalent discipline.
- At least 2 3 years’ experience in optical coherent system or component engineering.
- Has advanced knowledge of coherent digital signal processor (DSP).
- Strong in both coherent system experiments and simulations.
- Experience in using PAM4 transceivers and DSP is a plus.
