About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $1817 To $2019 Job Title : Radiology Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3rd Shift : Friday-Sunday 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM, with some on-call requirements Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Not specified License : South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification Certifications : ARRT Radiography (R) Certification, BLS through the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Demonstrated ability to perform radiologic exams and produce satisfactory diagnostic images- Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations- Ability to operate standard office equipment Job Description : Perform imaging procedures following established protocols under medical supervision for direct results of interpretation.
- Assist radiologists in procedures as needed and supervise student Radiologic Technologists.- Ensure the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures using age-appropriate care.
- Obtain correct written orders for procedures and manage time efficiently to meet patient care assignments.- Utilize imaging equipment efficiently, focusing on minimizing repeat examinations and emphasizing cost containment.
- Instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist in obtaining informed consent as needed, ensuring patients' understanding of the procedure.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding discharge instructions and respond actively and sensitively to the needs of internal and external customers.
- Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system, and maintain effective communication with radiologists.
- Adhere to safety policies and radiation protection guidelines, practicing radiation safety according to ALARA principles.
- Complete mandatory in-service training annually and maintain current licensure and certification requirements.- Maintain confidentiality of medical and sensitive information and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required.
