As the Operations Manager, you will work directly with our CFO, aligning operational strategies with overall business strategies to expand manufacturing operations.

About the Position :

The Operations Manager will oversee the fulfillment resources, assembly activities, and overall operational performance. Will also be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of SentriLock’s production process.

The Operations Manager will be a member of the Management Team under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and will be the principal manufacturing / production lead at SentriLock.

The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge of the product and assembly process to ensure production and quality measures are met and to devise long-term strategies to improve throughput, quality, and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all Fulfillment Resources and Assembly activities and all relevant processes

  • Lead and motivate teams to perform their responsibilities
  • Continually evaluate team members’ performance through documentation and performance reviews
  • Develop employees through various methods including training and assignment of challenging tasks based on strengths
  • Maintain a high level of integrity within the department and create an atmosphere of excellence
  • Find new ways of streamlining processes to maximize efficiencies and track results through annual MBOs and KPIs
  • Create and manage department budgets and strive to keep expenses at or below budget

Direct Lockbox Assembly

  • Direct the Assembly Manager in daily, routine, and project activities
  • Oversee the overall performance of the Assembly Team and Equipment
  • Establish overall production targets
  • Review and approve changes to processes and work instructions to ensure that the team is up to date and trained when changes occur or when quality issues arise
  • Work closely with the Engineering Group when model changes, equipment changes, and / or revision level changes are being planned and executed

Direct Lockbox Fulfillment

  • Supervise the Fulfillment Resources Manager in daily, routine, and project activities
  • Examine changes to processes and work instructions to ensure that the team is up to date and trained when changes occur
  • Direct the Lockbox Repair (RMA) processes
  • Supervise the Advance Exchange program to ensure prompt replacement of returned product
  • Monitor the activities of the Lockbox Repair Technicians
  • Oversee the Logistics and Shipping processes
  • Examine the Installation schedule and events, eCommerce activities and tracking information to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers
  • Work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with domestic and international imports / exports, customs, and environmental regulations, etc.

Lead the Quality Engineering Activities within the Department

  • Direct the Quality Engineer and Quality Technician in daily, routine and project activities
  • Establish and monitor quality processes, procedures and initiatives aimed at maintaining the highest level of quality products from incoming inspections, assembly line performance and refurbished products, etc.

Direct Purchasing processes and Vendor Relationships

  • Direct the Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator in daily, routine and project activities
  • Prepare and utilize production forecasts for strategic planning.
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders and Invoices.
  • Examine and review the ISO Preferred Supplier process.
  • Supervise Supply Chain activities regarding labor and geo-political issues / changes and how it affects component lead times

Manage Warehouse Operations

  • Direct Inventory, Receiving, and Warehouse activities
  • Oversee the handling, storage and record keeping of inventory
  • Manage periodic cycle counting and audited inventory activities
  • Supervise product recycling activities

Direct Facility and Production Equipment Maintenance

  • Manage contractors performing building maintenance activities such as : electrical, plumbing, HVAC, live plants, food and beverage vending, custodial services, construction, fork truck and generator service, etc.
  • Maintain security equipment (camera, alarm, and access)
  • Direct the facilities maintenance technician in daily and routine building maintenance repairs, projects, and inspections
  • Work closely with the building manager (GNP) to maintain the building exterior, sprinkler and irrigation systems and common areas, etc.
  • Direct Line Side Repair Technician in daily, routine and project activities including line side lockbox repairs, production equipment repairs, ESD testing and calibrations

Other duties as assigned

  • Participate in projects assigned by manager
  • Maintain and follow ISO standards
  • Seek out and complete appropriate training, development and research
  • Knowledge of department processes

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience - Preferred
  • 5+ years - People management experience including leading multiple teams - Preferred
  • 5+ years - Fulfillment and / or Assembly environment - Preferred
  • 5+ years - Managing warehouse operations and vendor relationships - Preferred
