Summary : Seeking a Disc Form Operator (2nd shift) responsible for the make, form, and test of customized snap acting bimetal discs used in temperature sensing devices.
Job Requirements :
Must train on 1st shift for 3-6 months
Basic math skills
Good eyesight to observe changes in material behavior
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers or verniers is a plus
Prior experience with resistance welding equipment (Contact welding)
Pneumatic & Hydraulic Press setup & operation (Die sets, stops, and input pressure)
Defect Identification (Visual & Microscopic)
Basic computer skills for equipment inputs and operation
Ability to work overtime when needed
Preferred Skills :
Experience in small part assembly or medical device assembly
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Job Responsibilities :
Identify material, equipment, and form tool operations needed to achieve desired disc temperature setpoints
Verify target disc form by testing in fluid baths to validate temperature behavior
Perform adjustments to achieve desired disc snap behavior independently once trained
Work with Manufacturing Team Leaders & Engineers to identify nonconformances with material, equipment & tooling
Provide inputs for continuous improvement activities to reduce material scrap and improve yields
Read and comprehend written instructions; effectively communicate verbally
Pay Details : $16.00 to $21.00 per hour
