Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and conveying materials within our plant, yard, or work site.
You will work under specific direction and may be involved in shipping and / or receiving tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Open containers using hand tools
- Count and weigh materials and record information
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand
- Load or unload materials into or from trucks by hand
- Convey materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks, forklifts, electric dollies, elevators, or other devices
- Stack or assemble materials
- Aid machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or using power hoists
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
