Position summary :

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Quality Control Inspector to support the Nashville, TN area.

This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to the quality management program (JQMP), inspections, documentation,and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Must possess excellent customer service, attention to detail, and computer skills (Word, Excel, general), with good communication skills and a preference for administrator support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on completed work in the field in a timely manner that adheres to the appropriate schedule
  • Complete proper documentation for inspections and assist with entering data into the in-house management system
  • Ensure that during all parts of the work schedule that the work completed meets all guidelines related to federal, state and local regulations.
  • Communicate with management and other team members when problems arise and offer possible solutions
  • Assist the Project Quality Manager with developing, implementing, and monitoring quality processes and procedures.

Required Experience :

Minimum 1 year of related experience

Preferred Experience :

Roadway and / or tunnel maintenance experience

Familiarity with the Infrastructure or similar industry

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications :

High School Diploma / GED

Excellent general computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, General

Excellent organization and independent work skills

Ability to read DOT plans in order to inspect completed work

Attention to detail

Problem solver

Good communication skills

Customer service orientation

Ability to take direction

Produce quality work in an efficient manner

Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology

Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures

Ability to use smart phone and applications

Ability to adjust to changing work schedule

Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

Ability to operate hand / power tools

Dependable and highly organized with business maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude

Schedule :

Full time. Standard work would be M-F. Must be flexible and available to conduct inspections based on schedule (will occasionally include evenings or nights).
