Job Summary :
RN II Generalist / OR
RN II Generalist provides direct patient care to pediatric through young adult (age 21) patient populations in the Outpatient Surgery Department (OSD) and Diagnostic Imaging (DI) patient care areas.
Uses unique knowledge and skills to contribute to perioperative patient outcomes in either the OSD or DI locations that are defined as observable or measurable physiological, psychosocial and psychological responses to perioperative nursing interventions.
Communicates and collaborates with surgeons(s) and the anesthesiologist continuously regarding the patient's condition. Intraoperatively, assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
Obtains supplies for individual cases, ensures that operating room equipment / diagnostic imaging is available and functioning and that all appropriate needs of the patient and surgical teams are met.
Monitors the patient's physiological status in the pre and postoperative periods. Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
Job Requirements :
Licensure : Current California RN. license, CPR and PALS card required. BSN, CNOR, CSPAN or CAPA preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 2.5 years of Pediatric OR, PACU or DI experience within the last five years or 2 years of Pediatric OR, PACU or DI experience and 1 year of Critical Care experience within the last five years or 3 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience within the last five years

Rep use of UE / Grasp : Up to 6 hours
Lift / Push / Pull : 40lbs. or over 40# with assistance lbs. with assistance or equipment
Ability to comply with infection control and other safety policies.
This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and / or instruction the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet.
