Senior Backend Software Engineer - Credit Card Team

Location : 2 days a week in person in New York OR Seattle

Duration : PERM

Salary : Up to $215,000 / year, depending on years of experience

• 6+ years of Software engineering experience within a Start Up, digital product or financial environment
• Experience with using Scala or C++ (preferred) or Java for backend development on consumer facing platforms

D2C - Experience running full SDLC from understanding business needs, facilitate and develop process workflows, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation of our real time exchange.

• Develop scalable architecture within our AWS environment for the future state of our exchange and contribute towards improving the trading infrastructure.
• Use engineering principles to identify and measure risk and to implement quantitative and technical risk management solutions in software
• Write robust code and APIs to support the company’s vital business.
• Effective communication skills to work as a team sharing the health and viability of the platform and reporting known issues as they arise

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with or being a power user of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and / or blockchain technology.
• Work experience or knowledge of the finance industry, payments, trading and / or exchange systems.

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Sr. Backend Software Engineer for one of our Crypto centered tech clients. As an engineer on the team, you’ll architect and solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the credit card space.

There's a wide range of challenges to tackle from ensuring the secure handling of millions of dollars worth of customer transactions, to developing innovative new credit card features, to optimizing our API response times to enhance the customer experience.

We have a strong culture of code reviews, and a focus on security, with the end goal of writing and shipping high-quality code by getting things right the first time.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
