Area Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As a Channel Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining productive working relationships with assigned channel partners at all levels of their organization.

Responsibilities include assisting with project quotations, order management, customer training, stock maintenance, order analysis to position ABB as a preferred vendor.

In addition, you will develop small contractor accounts in support of your channel partner's inventory. This is a hybrid position with successful candidates located in the Boston - Quincy, MA area.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for :

  • Implementing the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget.
  • Creating offers and proposals for channel partners in line with broader sales offers and strategies.
  • Reporting the progress on channel strategies, plans, and budgets. Conducting analyses on channel activity and taking ownership for solving any identified problems if they were to arise.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned small electrical contractors, targeting multi-family projects.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college with minimum of 2 additional years of experience in Sales.
  • Experience with complex contact negotiations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products.
  • Experience working with contractors & channel partners.
  • Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training preferred.
  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools.
