Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the realm of information security? We are looking for a Senior Information Security Specialist to support the Air National Guard (ANG) in safeguarding their critical information systems.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive information security programs to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the operational security posture and ensuring compliance with stringent cybersecurity directives.

Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive information security programs to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity matters, ensuring compliance with relevant directives.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to manage security incidents and breaches.
Requirements :
- MA / MS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity roles within the DoD or similar government agency.
- Relevant security certifications and IAM III certification based on job duties and access levels at CEDC McGhee-Tyson.
- In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Extensive experience with DoD security regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with security protocols related to identity management, access control, and encryption.
- Proven ability to manage complex security projects and work with cross-functional teams.
