Psych Nurse Practitioner Career Opportunity (Outpatient) Texas This position performs moderately complex psychiatric duties in an outpatient setting within the scope of practice of a Licensed Nurse Practitioner.
The Psych Nurse Practitioner as a valued member of the Multispecialty group practice evaluates patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Prescribe of psychiatric medications under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient.
Conducts psychotherapy when necessary, Oversees patient medication regimes. Assess medical and psychological histories. Participate in Treatment planning Completing psychiatric diagnosis for determining priority population status Provide crisis intervention services to new and existing consumers.
