JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the collaboration of a licensed physician.
The PA or NP will work within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
The individual in this role will work 12 hour shifts ( 11am- 11pm) . You will be scheduled approximately 10 shifts each month with varied weekdays and weekends.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Preferred / Optional : None
EXPERIENCE
Preferred / Optional : One year in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
