Role Description :
This is a full-time on-site role for a Patient Services Coordinator at Bissell Clinic in Montecito, CA. The coordinator will be responsible for appointment scheduling, phone etiquette, insurance verification, and utilizing medical terminology in communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients, facilitating communication between healthcare providers and support staff.
- Manage the full patient experience from check-in to check-out, including verifying insurance, creating accurate patient records, and processing payments.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide timely assistance to patient inquiries.
- Handle referrals and authorizations, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and follow-up care is scheduled.
- Provide support to front office staff with daily close-out tasks, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Maintain a strong focus on patient satisfaction and care throughout all interactions.
- Supports back office assistant to make sure all patient back-office responsibilities are covered.
- Administers Shockwave and Decompression Therapy treatments.
- Supports Social Media and Marketing activities.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Experience handling administrative duties in a medical setting, including insurance verification and payment collection.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
