Founded in 1885, The Fort Worth Club is a prestigious private city club known for its rich history and tradition. The Club offers a wide range of amenities, including exclusive dining, business services, and social events.

With over 2000 members, it is the destination of choice for private dining, weddings, corporate meetings, and social events.

Position Summary :

The Director of Catering & Member Events will oversee all private and member event operations at The Fort Worth Club. This leadership position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can deliver the highest quality of service, exceed member expectations, and maximize revenue.

The Director will collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure flawless execution of events, drive member engagement, and maintain the club's distinguished reputation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Event Oversight : Lead the planning and execution of all private events, member activities, weddings, and meetings, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to club standards.
  • Member Event Program : Develop a diverse calendar of member events that caters to all demographics within the club, enhancing member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Budget & Revenue Management : Create and manage the catering and events budget, set revenue goals, and monitor financial performance.

Ensure proper billing procedures are followed, and revenue targets are met.

  • Team Leadership : Supervise, mentor, and develop the catering team, including Event Managers and Coordinators. Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Scheduling & Logistics : Manage private room scheduling, event timelines, menus, diagrams, and setup needs through the ReServe system or similar software.
  • Member & Client Relations : Establish strong relationships with members and clients, ensuring that their event needs are anticipated and met with the highest level of service.
  • Vendor Management : Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality service and products for all events.

Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery.

  • Staff Development : Promote a positive work environment by mentoring staff and facilitating training programs that emphasize professional growth and development.
  • Event Marketing : Collaborate with the marketing department to promote events and drive participation and bookings.

Job Requirements :

  • Proven record of excellence in catering and event management at a reputable luxury property or private club.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Catering Director, preferably in a high-volume, upscale environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with managing budgets, forecasting, and revenue generation.
  • Proficiency in event management software (ReServe, Delphi, Jonas, etc.) and Microsoft Office 360 Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain organization, and lead under pressure.
