Job Description
- Lead the on-site team from construction start through project close
- Proactively identify and help remedy design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues.
- Communicate and interpret contract scope to the entire site management team.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work.
- Create and maintain a project production schedule
- Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
- Administer a Quality Control Plan.
- Review and approve all invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payment to vendor.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standards.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environment
- Communicate regularly with owners, construction managers, other superintendents, and project coordinators to ensure progress is achieved.

The Successful Applicant
- 6+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor or developer
- Commercial, multifamily and hospitality construction experience is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Detail oriented
- Good time management skills
- Ground up experience is preferred
- Proven ability to deliver commercial construction projects on time and on budget
- Must be able to work in a multiple-project environment
- Ability to read and understand plans
- Desire to travel throughout the country for projects
- Technical understanding of residential construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices
- Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects
- Work with subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, city inspectors, organize and direct activities concerned with their construction projects
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, performance, and quality standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
- Monitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget
- Investigate potentially serious situations, anticipate project delays, monitor job site safety, and implement corrective measures
