Description
The Director of Clinical Nursing is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff. This includes managing schedules, triaging workflow, handling call-outs and on-call duties.
As a hands-on role, the Director will be required to float to different pods daily. They will also collaborate closely with physicians, administrative staff, genetic counselors, and other clinical personnel.
This position will be expected to rotate to all RBA locations.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the hiring, training and management of the RBA clinical nursing team.
- Responsible for working with the Medical Director and Regional VP in the development and maintenance of the RBA Clinical Nursing organizational plan.
- Responsible working with the Medical Director and RVP for the establishment, implementation and maintenance if the RBA clinical nursing Q / A program.
- Responsible for conducting the annual performance evaluations of departmental staff.
- Responsible for weekly volume reports / patient tracking that supports management of patient progression along with meeting practice growth goals.
- Maintain monthly and daily schedules for all clinical staff
- Constantly monitor and optimize daily workload and workflow for all staff
- Fill in and float to various clinical positions as needed
- Help develop staff continuing education programs
- Designs work schedules, hours and duty assignments for staff
Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Three years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting.
- Management experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, with patients, physicians, and office staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Certificate / License : Possession of a State Registered Nurse License. ANA Certification.
