Position Summary :
The Dietician is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating the nutritional care provided to high-risk patients.
The dietician creates nutrition plans to improve the health and physical condition of patients or clients by analyzing the patients’ health status, goals, and dietary restrictions.
The dietician will track the progress of patients and education them on how to maintain a balanced diet. Using scientific research, behavioral science and social science, the dietitian promotes health and prevents disease.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.
It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in markets across six states and the District of Columbia.

Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, health or related field
- Must be registered by the American Dietetic Association
- Active Registration / Certification as required by state of practice.
Work experience :
Minimum 1-3 years dietician experience (or related experience)
Knowledge :
- Knowledge of basic nutritional assessments for all age groups.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
Skills :
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills and documents accordingly on the multidisciplinary education form for all patient populations.
- Exceptional communication, problem solving, public speaking and listening skills.

Work environment :
