About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty : Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 00), Monday to Friday Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2+ years of experience in trauma 2 hospital License : Compact or State license required prior to submission Certifications : - CRCST or CSPDT required- AHA certifications are required Must-Have : 2 Manager / Supervisor references are required for clearance- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines required (Medical / Religious exemptions only)- Must be willing to travel over 65 miles from your residence Job Description : Operate and maintain sterilizers, Sterrad Machines, and ultrasonic devices such as CaviWave, Medisafe, and Belimed- Ensure strict compliance with sterilization and decontamination protocols- Responsible for the sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment- Support surgical staff by ensuring timely preparation of sterile instrument trays- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery- Manage extensive requests for time off in accordance with facility policies- Attend orientation, scheduled 5 days a week, to integrate into the team effectively
