The Head Start Compliance Monitor ensures compliance with operational procedures, processes, and policies related to the Head Start Performance Standards and other regulations including all federal, state, and local regulations.
The Monitor conducts on-site compliance monitoring to analyze the effectiveness of compliance programming for the Grantee, childcare partners, and classrooms and recommends necessary revisions or implementation of processes, reports, and / or plans of action.
The Monitor also provides training for HS / EHS staff in the various content areas as well as systemic concerns. This position plays a key role on the interdisciplinary team providing Early Learning programming and services that are responsive to the diversity of the populations we serve and is responsible for the successful completion of the Program Information Report.
The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development, Nursing, Nutrition, or Social Work or education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Candidates must have :
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, Nursing, Nutrition, or Social Work or education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge of the Head Start / Early Head Start program, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations related to Head Start including Performance Standards.
- Experience in monitoring, mentoring, coaching, data integration / analysis, and community outreach.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Three years of relevant job experience and working with disadvantaged and low-income clients and the general community desirable.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Per program policies, a health exam, clear tuberculosis screen, Hepatitis A vaccination, and background check are required for hire.
