About The Position
Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level 2 Job Specialty : Nuclear Medicine Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Five 8-hour shifts per week, Monday to Friday, between 7 AM and 6 PM (start and end times may vary) Guaranteed Hours : Information not provided Experience : 2 Years Preferred License : - Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certifications : - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) - OR Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)- Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Certified in Nuclear Medicine - CT certification and PET / CT experience Job Description : Review patient history and physician's orders.
- Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.- Position patients and perform imaging procedures using proper techniques tailored to the patient's age and ability to understand.
- Ensure quality imaging is achieved by addressing any issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if necessary.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.- Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals as per established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor patient conditions continually and respond to any changes in status.- Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the clinical nuclear medicine rooms.
