Dental Hygienist Job Description :

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities :
Coordinates patient intake and preparation for exam functions in a constant, steady fashion. Maintains organization and sets priorities to facilitate patient flow.
Prepares the dental operatory for the specific procedures.
- Performs adult and pediatric prophylaxis.
- Takes patients vital signs and any radiographs needed for the exam, which may include a panorex, a full mouth series, bitewings, periapical or occlusal radiographs.
- Conducts preliminary exam for dental decay, charts DMF teeth, and assesses OHI.
- Completes root planning and scaling procedures, completes topical fluoride application, applies sealants, completes dental recall procedures for adults and children.
Dental Hygienist Qualifications :
- Graduate of an ADA accredited dental hygiene school and licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist by the Ohio Board of Dental Examiners.
- 1-2 years dental experience preferred
